'One Step Out' is a fine, but deep vocal spiritual Jazz journey. The mid tempo 'School Of life' , 'From A Mighty long Way' and the ballad 'If You Got To Love Somebody' and bouncy 'I Remember' and the funky soul 'Identify', 'Revelations' I Ain't Gonna Worry' are also good. 'Hold Me Up' is a nice jerky upper mid tempo track that reminds me of Ledisi, and the similar tempo 'September' will get some dancefloor action. 'Play This' and 'Better Than Not' are ludwig acrolite snare drum dancers with a Rick James feel and beat to them. . The remixes have not been submerged by dance orientated beats, allowing the subtlety and beauty of the music to breath, though the single 'Music For Gong Gong' is dancefloor heaven. , although the ballad 'One more Chance On Love' and the cover of 'Change Is Gonna Come' are also great. 95 Another 13 Boogie tracks from the early to mid 80's in this consistant series. This excellent and intriguing Sonar Kollektiv compilation documents the contribution to Latin Jazz and Soul from the state owned Cuban label Egrem/ Areito. Sandra's 1970 album is heralded as one of the best female southern soul albums and incl the mid tempo 'Rescue Song' 'Ghost Of baby book adopted child Myself' and 'My Man And Me' along with some great ballads 'After All I Am Your Wife', 'If You Get Him' and 'She Didn't Know (she Kept Talking) and the funky soul 'Some Mothers Son'. Highlights are Affair 'Please Don't Break My Heart', Laurice Hudson 'Feel My Love' , Vanessa Holmes 'Take My Love' , Khemistry 'I Cant Win For Losing', Kreamicle 'Hold On' , Clockwork 'I'm Your Candy Girl' and Eugene Wilde 'Personality'.
